Five years ago, after prayerful consideration, Pavel and Elena Belousovi decided to adopt a beautiful little girl named Vera.

They already had one biologic daughter.  A few months later, they brought two-year-old Vera into their family. They were told that Vera’s mother had died while giving birth to Vera’s younger bother, Nazar.

Pavel and Elena soon found out that Vera’s relatives had refused to adopt her baby brother Nazar.  After much prayer, the Belousovi’s felt God firmly tell them to adopt Nazar.  However, when Pavel and Elena went to adopt Nazar, the doctors warned them that his childbirth had been very traumatic and that he would likely have life-long complications.  Pavel and Elena brought Nazar home anyway. 

At the age of one, Nazar was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.   For years, Nazar could do nothing but lie in bed.  After years of prayer and daily physical therapy from his parents, Nazar could finally hold his head up and sit with help. He was five years old.

Nazar is now 7 years old. 

Further medical examination showed that he doesn’t actually have cerebral palsy, but that in fact part of his brain is missing, which means his condition will likely never improve.

Pavel and Elena believe that nothing is impossible for God, and continue to pray for their son.  Even though it isn’t easy, and they have had to make many changes in their family to accommodate Nazar, they love him and are committed to caring for him as well as his sisters.

The Belousovi Family has amassed a variety of additional expenses due to the costs of adequately providing for Nazar’s special needs.

They have asked us to help them modify their bathroom so that it is accessible to Nazar.
