A Family for Khusbhu?

A Family for Khusbhu?Khusbhu

Khusbhu, a young orphan girl in India, may owe her future to a woman that God has transformed. Years ago, Khusbhu would likely have lived in an orphanage until she “aged out,” and then become homeless, a prostitute, and/or a substance abuser. But that paradigm is changing in South India.

Anu, an orphanage director for 16 years, was starting to shift her team's focus to family-based orphan care when she heard one of our partner ministries expound on that very focus. Her resolve solidified when she "…received a deeper revelation of [God’s] heart for orphans…to place every orphan in a family!”

The government, watching Anu's team transform, is promoting this new paradigm in Christian orphanages in South India! As a result, orphanage leaders are seeking to reunify Khusbhu with her family. If that's not possible, they'll start the adoption process with a local family. Praise God that, either way, Khusbhu will have the chance to thrive under the love and support of family!
